DID YOU KNOW?
In the U.S., 1 out of 3 students either drop out of high school or graduate without the skills needed to succeed in college or in work. Overall, young people who drop out are twice as likely as graduates to be unemployed; three times as likely to live in poverty; eighty times as likely to wind up in prison; and twice as likely to become the parent of a child who drops out of school.* America's Promise Alliance - Alliance for Excellent Education
Washington State has increased the graduation rate from 60% to 76%. This positive move has resulted from new programs with more flexibility and more mentoring options, including skills developed from JA programs that provide hands-on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and
work-readiness education.
The need for JA programs continues to increase, but funding remains our primary challenge.
We thank all of you that support and invest in the economic education of our kids.
We encourage you to choose JA.
Your inspiration is their success!
